Do you want to get the most out of 3rd position playing? If so, you cannot avoid the lower register (holes 1-4). That portion of the harmonica contains the bluesiest sounds and opens up much more expressiveness available since you have access to more bends in the scale compared to the middle register. The entire blues scale is availble without using any overblows which is nice.
In this class we will work on and discover some great licks, and phrasing on the low end of 3rd position. So many players are avoiding the low end of 3rd position playing, but that's where the bluesiest stuff is. I'll take you through the scale notes, and plenty of great ideas to work on and practice.
